haysis schedule next year

I sort of understand them not wanting to play us a couple of years ago, the lpd is tough always have 3-4 very good teams but with GC leaving that leaves only 3 good teams for appy/JIB to play in district and with coeburn also leaving they have a couple of holes to fill when we played burton the games were always close except for one year and I think it would be the same if we played appy if we drop down next year they are going to have to play us anyway appy needs four games I see haysi playing appy simply because they will have a hard time filling their schedule

Clintwood may be looking for another game as well I heard last week that Grundy backed out on renewing the contract

(2) Beginning with the 2007-08 school year, to find the rating of a team, total the number
of points it has earned in accordance with the following table and divide that total number
by the number of games played.
AAA AA A
For winning from 24 20 16
For losing from 12 8 4

for each game won by a defeated
opponent* in ANY classification 2 2 2
For each game won by a non-defeated
opponent* in ANY classification 1 1 1
*VHSL rating scale recognized opponents

Everyone downs our schedule but we can't help it. I hope it doesn't end up like my junior year where we only got to play 9 games.

that was my senior year it sucked to only play 9 games

we dont try to schedule weak teams but we dont have a choice look at PV they picked up thomas walker now I dont know if PVs schedule and Haysis matched up but with all of our openings im sure something could be arranged but no they pick up the weakest team this side of holston

who are we going to play Helper if we cant fill our schedule would the VHSL step in and force some teams with openings to play us I doubt it but still

from what i understand haysi and kelly have already scheduled a game for next year.

PV picked up Thomas Walker? When, where, how, and why?

I did not know about the kelly game glad to hear we are playing them they should be a good team in the next few years lots os potential there at kelly

the TW/PV game was being talked about a little on the LPD forum they could have been joking but I dont think so as far as why I have absolutley no idea those programs arent just on different levels but should not even be mentioned in the same sentence

I have to admit that J.J. Kelly would be a better match up for Haysi then someone like Betsy Lane. The Indians from Wise should be a improved team over the next few years.

Personally I would love to see Haysi and Honaker play Appalachia and Burton too. I feel that is four teams with good traditions whom need to see more of each other during the regular season. The gates at these games would be high and the level of football on the field would be higher.

We used to play norton but they dropped us my senior year. It was usually a good ballgame. I remember one game it came down to one last play for burton and it was pouring the rain. The receiver stepped out of bound then came back in and caught the ball, the flag was thrown, then the next play the exact same thing happened and the refs let it go to get out of the rain. We were PISSED but it was a really good ballgame.
